Nearly 83 000 Bulgarians of Roma origin found jobs and 43 000 underwent qualification programmes, Labour and Social Policy Minister Emilia Maslarova said.
Breaking stereotypes and public perceptions and establishing equality in view of the European year of equal rights was of key importance, Maslarova said.
Maslarova took part in the 10th edition of the Decade of Roma Inclusion, Focus news agency reported.
The Ministry has already made efforts to inform the Roma community of the various employment opportunities, Maslarova said.
Primary education features among main issues before the country, Maslarova said.
She said that unemployment decreases but it could decrease only to certain extent because most unemployed people lack education.
