Economy and Energy Minister Roumen Ovcharov will present to the parliamentary energy committee developments in the talks over supply of Russian natural gas and the execution of the Belene nuclear power plant project.
Recently Reuters news agency reported that Russian energy company Gazprom demanded changes in the gas supply agreement signed with Bulgaria.
Member of the energy committee Evgeni Zhekov said that the current agreement was still valid and is unlikely to be canceled.
The only change could involve limit in the transit gas passage, Focus news agency reported.
Bulgaria should demand the execution of the already signed agreement, Zhekov said. The current agreement is favourable for Bulgaria and would be renewed only in case the new terms offered suit the country better, said he.
