Bulgaria’s Cabinet has adopted a national programme that will allow flexibility in setting the remuneration of teachers and lecturers through differentiated payment.
A much as 15.1 million leva has been allocated for about 96 teachers and other educators, according to Focus news agency.
Education Minister Daniel Vulchev told Bulgarian National Television that the programme would also cover 5 500 directors of schools and kindergartens.
The programme will allow every educational team to allocate funds among its members.
This would not affect the basic salaries of teachers, Vulchev said.
