A mutually acceptable decision needs to be taken by all parties involved in dealing with Kosovo’s status, Bulgarian Foreign Minister said.
Kalfin took part in a security forum of Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC) held in the Macedonian town of Ohrid, Bulgarian National Radio reported.
Kosovo features among the most pressing issues in the region. A successful decision should guarantee the region's stability, Kalfin said.
He appealed for a decision based on the international law.
Kalfin said that UN representative Martti Ahtisaari has done much to contribute to reaching a compromise between the countries involved in the issue.
Currently Ahtisaari is UN representative and mediator during the Vienna peace talks that will determine the final status of Kosovo.
Kalfin said that as Southeast European Co-operation Process (SEECP) president Bulgaria will help to solve regional problems.
