Bulgarian municipal pre-election campaigns will start on September 27 and will end on October 26 2007 at midnight.
The Central Election Committee (CEC) has already defined the conditions under which the campaign will take place, Focus news agency reported.
Political parties, coalitions and initiative committees will be able to campaign orally or in written form during pre-election meetings or through mass media.
Municipal governors, mayors, state officers, syndicates and state administration officers will be not allowed to campaign.
All parties, coalitions and candidates will have equal access to mass media. Campaign posters, fliers and advertisements should contain the name of the party. Materials that threaten the health and/or life of people or offend public ethics can be removed upon permission from the mayor of the municipality.
Public transport can not be used for campaigning. Campaigns based on voting date is also banned.
