Most Bulgarians still prefer to use the services of regular air carriers to those of low-cost companies.
Focus news agency’s check showed that despite the significantly cheaper tickets offered by low-cost companies such as Wizz Air and Sky Europe, prices do not include airport taxes which can sometimes reach 100 to 200 euro.
Besides this, low-cost airlines flying between Sofia and London land not at Heathrow, but at Luton airport, which is 80 km from London.
All major airlines offer health insurance during the flight, while low-cost companies do not include such insurance.
A Sofia travel agent said that most clients still preferred to fly with regular companies, but there were customers who did prefer to fly with low-cost companies.
