From January to November 2006, 4.84 million foreigners visited Bulgaria, according to the World Tourism Organisation and the European Travel Commission.
The number of foreigner visits went up by 5.54 per cent, compared to the figures for the same period in 2005, Focus news agency reported.
Nearly 4.1 million people visited Bulgaria to spend their vacation in the country.
In November, 261 544 foreigners visited Bulgaria, which represents a 15.9 per cent increase compared to data for November 2005.
Most foreign tourists came from Serbia, Greece, Germany, Macedonia, the UK, Romania and Turkey.
Other foreigners that visited Bulgaria to spend a vacation in the country include Russians, Swedish, Ukrainians, Slovaks, French and Norwegians among others.
