Romania's furniture retailer Mobexpert plans to open four hypermarkets in Bulgaria by 2011, Romanian daily Ziarul Financiar reported, as quoted by investor.bg.

The first Bulgaria-based hypermarket of the company is set to open its doors in September 2008 in the Sofia neighbourhood Liulin.
The first outlet will cost 10 million euro.

Bulgaria-oriented plans of the company form part of a broader expansion strategy, which foresees the opening of 20 new hypermarkets in Romania and two in Serbia.

Sales next year were forecast to reach 200 million euro, Ziarul Financiar quoted the group's president Dan Suku as saying.

Next year, the company is set to open four hypermarkets in Romania in what would be an eight million euro investment.
The long-term strategy of the company envisages entry into the markets of Moldova and Ukraine.
