The results of an investigation into the connections between communist-era secret services and ministers and prime ministers in office after 1990 would be announced after the municipal elections in October 2007, the chairperson of the committee on the archive declassification Evtim Kostadinov said.
The investigation had already begun, but the list of people to be investigated was still being clarified, he told Focus news agency.
Such an investigation has been completed for Presidency employees and members of the parliaments after 1990.
Various political parties have applied for investigations into the past of candidate-mayors and municipal councillors.
Kostadinov said that the committee still has no headquarters, but he would have high-level meetings to solve the problem.
