Members of the families of EU citizens will be able to work in Bulgaria without the issuing of permits.
The new regulations feature in changes to the national decree for issuing, denial and taking away the working rights of foreigners in Bulgaria.
Through the changes, Bulgarian regulations should be synchronised with EU directives on the free movement of workers.
Bulgaria in this way liberalises its labour market and provides equal access to the families of EU members residing in the country.
Regulations will also affect people from other countries that have come to Bulgaria to carry out scientific research and education exchange.
Foreign students will be allowed to work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year.
Administrative procedures related to permit issuing for all other workers will be facilitated, Council of Ministers said.
