Medics from Pirogov emergency institute in Sofia will block traffic on the crossing between Tsar Boris III boulevard and Pencho Slaveikov during their half an hour-long protest.
The demonstration scheduled for June 12 is part of the medics’ efforts to demand higher wages and better working conditions.
Krystuy Penchev, head of Pirogov’s unions, said that medics will not hinder the passage of public transportation vehicles.
Medics asked Sofia residents to join them in the protest.
Pirogov employees are also getting ready to start striking, in case authorities fail considering their demands.
Strikes are provisionally scheduled for the beginning of the coming week. Medics will take down their work to a minimum during the strike. A committee to negotiate with authorities has already been selected.
Until strikes officially begin, medics will protest for an hour on a daily basis.
