More than 100 medics from various Bulgarian cities protested in front of the Parliament building on December 11.
Some members of the managing council of the Bulgarian Medical Union (BMU) are also going to attend discussions on budget 2007 in the National Assembly, Focus news agency reported.
Protesting medics said that national healthcare plans could not be made, while 1.2 million people lacked health insurance.
One of the main problems was that the parliamentary budgetary committee, rather than the health committee took a decision on the healthcare budget.
Medics protested against the systematic under-financing of Bulgaria's healthcare sector. The problem was ongoing for six years already, BDU representative Medoti Madzharov said.
