Bulgarian media called for the construction of a modern anti-AIDS centre in Libya.
The message was sent during the third world meeting of Bulgarian media, held in Rome. In a declaration, Bulgarian media asked multinational companies and rich people to aid the project.
Bulgarian journalists, working all over the world, have been describing one of the biggest human tragedies for 3023 days already, the declaration said. It referred to the trial of the five Bulgarian nurses sentenced to death for intentional HIV infection in Libya.
“More than eight years the tragedy of Valya, Valentina, Nasya, Christiana and Snezhana is part of our professional involvement,” the declaration said. Bulgarian media were certain of the nurses’ innocence and at the same time understood the tragedy of the infected children in Libya.
Looking for a solution to the children’s tragedy, media asked rich entrepreneurs to provide aid for the treatment of the 350 infected children.
