After Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) accused Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) of “lies” and “bluff” on September 25 2007, Boiko Borissov strikes back accusing BSP of “playing a game with people's fears.”
On September 26 2007, CEDB candidates in municipal elections met for a national pre-election meeting in the National Palace of Culture in Sofia, mediapool.bg said.
“The same people play with the fears of people. These same people said that if the tsar (Saxe-Coburg) would come in power, we would not be accepted into NATO,” Borissov said.
“The parties in power are the ones experiencing fear for his party,” he said, “which leads to laws being written in an attempt to limit its influence.”
