MANCHESTER CITY WANTS TO ADD BULGARIA’S BOJINOV TO ITS COLLECTION
11:06 Mon 30 Jul 2007

UK football club Manchester City is preparing an offer to buy Bulgaria’s striker Valeri Bojinov, a media report said.

The team was ready to pay nine million euro for the Bulgarian, Italian sports newspaper Corriere dello Sport reported.

Bojinov’s current club Fiorentina included him in the transfer list after the striker refused to renew his contract in July 2007.

Manchester City has already bought one Bulgarian player. On July 26 2007, the half Martin Petrov joined the team from Spain’s Atletico Madrid.

Italian site tuttomercato.com said that a number of teams were interested in Bojinov. Apart from Manchester City, Lokomotiv Moscow, Sevilla and Italy’s Lazio, Parma, Napoli and Torino wanted the striker.

Bojinov himself preferred to continue playing in Italy, tuttomercato.com said.
