1994. Nova Televisia is established. Broadcasts begin in December the same year.
July 20 1995. Kalendar becomes the station's first news programme, which also earns the honour of being the first news programme on a Bulgarian private television channel.
2000. Nova TV becomes 100 per cent owned by Antenna Bulgaria, part of the Greek Antenna Group.
July 18 2003. Nova TV is granted a licence for national broadcasting rights, becoming the second private national television station in the country.
December 2004. Pavel Stantchev becomes executive director of Nova TV.
September 19 2005. A new logo and jingle are introduced, along with a new programming schedule.
October 2006. Much of the station's schedule becomes available for viewing on cellular telephones in the 3G network through the mobile operator M-Tel.
Currently, Nova Televisia is broadcast throughout Europe via satellite. It airs Endemol (a television production company based in the Netherlands) productions such as Big Brother, Star Academy and Who Wants to be a Millionaire? (called Stani Bogat, or Become Rich, in Bulgarian), along with childrens cartoons on weekend mornings and other programmes.
