A 35-year-old man was shot at more than 10 times in Sofias centre around 8.35pm on February 20 2007.
The man was shot in the back, abdomen and chest, an Interior Ministry press release said.
He underwent surgery in Sofias Military Medical Academy, but is still in critical condition, Focus news agency said.
The man had criminal record, Focus said.
Police still lack suspects and are looking for an unidentified man responsible for the shooting, the press release said.
Officers are carrying out second examination of the crime scene. Police also searches for a white Citroen, probably related to the shooting.
