Macedonian nationalists have threatened leader of VMRO Krasimir Karakachanov and Director of the Bulgarian History Museum Bozhidar Dimitrov with death, the two announced for FOCUS News Agency.

According to the information, Karakachanov received two letters at the head office of the VMRO that were sent from Skopje.

The letters threaten Karakachanov, criticising his "cruel and unjust antimacedonism."

"Don't dare come Macedonia at all, because we will tear your head off in the most vicious way. If you want to be headless then you can venture a visit," one of the letters said, written in capital letters and signed by the "Macedonian Patriotic Guard."

The second letter contains six handwritten pages signed by a Prof. Gorazd L. Antov, who also expressed his indignation at Karakachanov's "antimacedonism." This letter also ends with a threat:

"Don’t you dare to set foot on Macedonian soil unless you acquire real, elementary and worthy culture and European sense for respect and resignation towards the Republic of Macedonia and the Macedonians!!!"

Dimitrov also received a letter from Skopje, also from Macedonian Patriotic Guard. It is handwritten in Latin letters: "We will tear your head off in the most vicious way!"
