MACEDONIA APPRECIATES DEFENCE CO-OPERATION WITH BULGARIA- STOJANOVSKI
10:50 Fri 13 Apr 2007

Macedonia values the defence co-operation with Bulgaria, Macedonian army chief of general staff Miroslav Stojanovski said during a meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart Zlatan Stoikov.

A Bulgarian colonel currently works at the NATO headquarters in Skopje, Stojanovski said. The Bulgarian is also active in his interactions with the Macedonian defence ministry, he said.

The co-operation made possible the selection of a Bulgarian general as the head of the NATO headquarters in Skopje, Stojanovski said as quoted by Focus news agency.

Negative attitude towards such decision was missing in Macedonia, Stojanovski said. Macedonia, as a host country, played small role in the selection of NATO staff to represent the alliance in the country.

Interaction between Bulgaria and Macedonia were one thing and NATO decisions were another, Stojanovski said.

Stojanovski said that he would support any decision that receives the approval of both NATO and Bulgaria.

Stop calling the FYROM as Macedonia for it is not the Official Name recognized by the UN...the official name is Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia i.e.SouthSlavic-speaking Republic of Macedonia. While there is a Greek-speaking Macedonia which is a Province of modern Greece whithin the Northen Borders of Greece which was in Ancient times the Greek-speaking and of Greek Culture Kingdom of Macedonia which united to Itself all other Greek-speaking City-States of Southern Greece and went out to conquer and civilize all the Ancient World and unite It into a World Greek-speaking Empire. The result was a mixture of Greek Culture and local Culture Civilization which because it became predominantly Greek-speaking was called Hellenistic Civilization.Helen or Ellen being the Greek word for Greek, which word Greek comes from the Greek also word Grekos, hence we have or derive the word Greek....So all this explanation so as not to confuse the 2 Macedonians.1st the Ancient Greek-speaking Macedonia which is now a Greek Province and the modern Slav-speaking or Bulgarian-speaking Macedonia which was a part of the ancient Kingdom of Bulgaria, then part of the Serbian Kingdom, then part of the Yugoslavian Kingdom and then became one of the Republics of the Yugoslavian Fderation of Republics undrer President Tito and ultimately the present F.Y.R.O.M which is 2/3 Bulgarian-speaking and should be united with Bulgaria and 1/3 Albanian-speaking which should be united with Albania so ther should be only One Macedonia, the Northen Greek-speaking Province of Macedonia of Modern Greece. Thus the presnt confusion should be ended...and Bulgaria and Albania and Greece might be happy and end their disputes once a for all....This is my own opinion but you are free to have your opinion also and express it freelly..fot this is Democracy!!!
