Bulgarian company Hemus Air and Lufthansa Technik, the company which lends support to German air carrier Lufthansa, have established a joint company for airplane repair in Bulgaria.
Lufthansa Technik will possess 80 per cent of the company, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
The agreement includes an investment of 20 million euro, and was signed on August 16 2007.
The new company plans to repair Boeing 737 planes. The project could be developed to the bigger Boeing 777 and Airbus A340, investor.bg said.
Airplane reparation will probably begin in the end of 2007 at Sofia Airport. Up to 22 planes will be repaired per year and 380 work places will be opened.
