The filming of Luc Besson's newest production Hitman began in Bulgaria's Nu Boyana Film Studios.
Robert Knepper, known from the series Prison Break, is among the actors that will take part in Hitman.
Hitman shooting has been ongoing at various locations in Bulgaria for two months already, avtora.com reported. The final work will be carried out in mid-June.
At the same time Nu Boyana started a new Bulgarian project. Director Zornitsa Sofia, known for her film Mila from Mars, will be working on a new movie entitled Balkan Blues.
Nu Boyana is co-producer of Balkan Blues and will provide 350 000 euro direct subsidy. The company will also look for a famous foreign actor to star in the film.
Since the beginning of the year, three foreign films were shot in Bulgaria. Among these are The Shepherd, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, It's Alive and Hero Wanted, starring Cuba Gooding Jr.
