Varna region resorts offer prices between 12 and 40 euro per day for package-vacations during the 2008 Easter holidays.
The low prices were an attempt to attract more foreign tourists, mainly Romanians.
The Romanians invaded Bulgaria’s Northern coastal resorts in 2007, with more than 20 000 Romanians in the Golden Sands resort alone during the 2007 Easter holidays.
Bulgaria’s tourism branch expressed its hope that Bulgarian and Russian tourists would also make use of the low package prices at the Black Sea coastal resorts.
