Bulgarian junior team goalkeeper Nikolai Mihailov said that his transfer to Liverpool marked the most incredible moment in his life.
Media reported that talks have been finalised and the 19-year old Mihailov has signed a three-year contract with Liverpool. The contract features the option for a two-year extension.
Mihailov will replace Italian Daniele Padelli who left the team. The team’s two other goalkeepers include Pepe Reina and Scott Carson.
The Bulgarian goalkeeper has been competing for the junior national team and for Levski football club. He participated in Levski’s Champions League match against the German Werder.
Mihailov is son of former national team goalkeeper and current Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) president Borislav Mihailov.
