Jumbo, Greek retail chain for toys, chose Bulgaria to open its first shop outside Greece and Cyprus.
The company announced that it planned to open the shop before Christmas 2007, investor.bg said.
The Bulgarian shop will spread on 15 000 sq m.
Jumbo plans to open a hypermarket in Athens as well, increasing the number of its hypermarkets to 41, of which 38 in Greece, two in Cyprus and one in Bulgaria.
Currently Jumbo was exploring the possibilities to acquire new plots in Sofia for its business activities, investor.bg said.
Jumbo was founded in 1986 and has more than 2000 employees.
