Raia Bakalova entered the panel of 12 judges to evaluate the original performance of ice dancers during the World Figure Skating Championship taking place in Tokyo.

Bulgarian ice dancers Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski will perform after 21 other pairs on March 22, Darik Radio reported.

No Bulgarian referee evaluated the compulsory dance on March 20. Denkova and Staviski rank second after the first phase of the competition.

Score differences between the top five couples after the compulsory dance are minimal. Analysts said that all five competing pairs have the chance to win the gold.

Denkova and Staviski accumulated 37.42 points in the first round. Leaders in the ranking, having 38.96 points, are Canadians Marie France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon.
