The Bulgarian National Film Archive and the Iranian embassy organised a Week of the Iranian Cinema 2008, sub-headlined as A review of the work of female cinematographers, an embassy media statement said.

The Iranian cinema week will take place at Sofia's Odeon cinema from January 8 to January 13, 2008.

The Week of the Iranian Cinema will be officially opened on January 8 at 6pm with the screening of the Eternal Children (Bacheha-ye аbadi), a film by director Pouran Derakhshandeh.

Pouran Derakhshandeh, actress Elham Hamidi and screenplay writer Minoo Farshchi will be special guests to the event.
