Bulgaria’s ice dance couple Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski gets the third place in the ranking of the international skating organisation.
The Bulgarian couple remained fifth in the Turin Olympics competition because of several mistakes.
The international ranking gives first position to the Russian Olympic champions Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov, the Bulgarian National Radio reported.
Denkova and Staviski have 4255 points, guaranteeing them the third position. The ranking is based on results from all tournaments of the international organisation that occurred in the past three years.
Navka and Kostomarov have 4960 points. US silver medalists Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto hold the second position with 4490 points.
The second Bulgarian couple, Roumiana Spasova and Stanimir Todorov gets the 29th place with 1490 points. Male competitor Ivan Dinev has 1840 points and holds the 29th position, as well. Dinev remained 17th in the Olympic competition.
