Infragistics, a software presentation layer development tools provider, announced on January 7 2008 the opening of a new office in Sofia.

The new office would house the .net and Java software development of user interface component toolsets, a company media statement said.

The Bulgarian office would be Infragistics ninth office worldwide, with other offices in the US, UK, India and Japan.

"We continue to expand our worldwide team to draw upon leading talent in all parts of the world," said Infragistics CEO Dean Guida. "We've seen significant growth in the component tool market in the past few years and with top developers we can continue to bring our customers the most comprehensive and innovative toolsets available."

The Sofia office would be managed by Didka Duneva, the company media statement said.

On January 10, Infragistics director of product management Jason Beres would host the Sofiadev.net user group in Sofia.
