It was unlikely for Libya's court to change the death sentences of the five Bulgarian nurses sentenced for intentional HIV infection in the conditions of 'information war' between Bulgaria and libya, Libya Today reported.
The two countries relied on mutual accusations instead of productive dialogue, the commentary said.
These accusations can lead to a delay in the trial.
Libya Today reported that Libya's Supreme Court will announce the final verdicts soon. The lawyers of the nurses have one final chance to appeal the sentences before the supreme institution.
At the same time international organisations continue showing their support for the nurses.
Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported that prayers and demonstrations will mark the eighth year of the nurses' imprisonment.
A national demonstration is scheduled to take place in Bulgaria. Students will meet in front of the Libyan embassy in Sofia to protest there.
