Bulgaria's Consumer Price Index (CPI) topped 101.3 in September, while inflation reached 1.3 per cent on the month, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said in a report on Friday.
Since the turn of the year, the consumer price index added 8.9 per cent, whereas year-on-year 13.1 per cent, the report adds.
All categories of products except services registered an increase. Prices of food products rose by 2.1 per cent in September, of non-food products by 1.3 per cent; food items sold outdoors by 2.9 per cent.
Services registered a month-on-month decline by 0.1 per cent.
In the food category, apples registered the highest deflation by 18.1 per cent on the month for seasonal reasons. The price of grapes was down by 16.1 per cent, by onion 1.1 per cent, cabbage by 7.4 per cent.
Services related to education went down by 5.8 per cent, heating equipment by 7.9 per cent, diesel fuel by 5.5 per cent, gaseous fuel for household use by 0.7 per cent.
In September, a doctor's and dentist visit cost by 1.1 per cent and 1.6 per cent more, respectively.
