Iceland investment gorup Kvos renamed Plovdiv-based Delta Plus, one of Bulgaria’s largest printing houses, into Infopress Bulgaria and spelled out ambitions to become the leader on the Bulgarian printing services market in five to seven years, Infopress CEO Birgir Jonsson said, as quoted by Dnevnik daily on April 17.
The name change reflects the integration of the printing house in the Infopress Group, owned by Kvos. The Icelandic group bought the majority stake in the Plovdiv-based company in 2006 and has since invested seven million euro in the firm.
In 2007, the printing house reported a 50 per cent year-on-year increase of sales and expects to maintain the same revenue growth rate this year. Jonsson attributed the increase both to the uptick on the Bulgarian printing market as well as the investments made by Kvos.
According to the executive, the printing services market in Bulgaria is hovering at an annual 40-50 million euro. Kvos’ plans for this year are to achieve 20 million euro in sales, which would translate into 50 per cent market share.
The Icelandic group has subsidiaries in Romania and Hungary as well.
