Nearly 80 households in the Kurdjali region received construction materials for the recovery of the damages from the February 20 earthquake, regional administrators said.
Most of the damaged houses are located in the villages Mourgovo, Chiflik, Gorna Krepost and Visoka Polyana. The earthquake damaged walls and led to the collapse of chimneys, Dnevnik newspaper reported.
People from the affected villages would receive aid with a total value of nearly 22 000 leva. The funds came from the parliamentary disaster management committee, after expert teams evaluated the damages.
Mourgovo suffered most from the earthquake. Nearly 70 per cent of the village houses experienced some damage.
Regional administrators said lighter tremors registered after the first earthquake also produced damages. Regional governor Angel Naidenov said people would receive additional aid for these, as well.
