The Sliven hospital children’s ward has held open the job of Nasya Nenova, one of the six Bulgarian medics who were accused of deliberate HIV infection in Libya and now have been released after eight years in prison.
Nenova’s former colleagues were waiting for her and she could return to work whenever she wanted, Focus news agency reported.
The whole ward gathered in front of a television set to watch Nenova’s return and drank a toast to her on her arrival, Focus said.
The medics in the ward are ready for a champagne toast the moment Nenova returns to the ward.
Hospital authorities already discuss a welcoming ceremony.
Petko Mitev, director of the hospital in Pazardzhik, where another of the nurses, Valentina Siropoulo, worked, said that the hospital would welcome her back to work.
