Nearly 66 million leva would be allocated for major hospital expenditure in 2007, Health Minister Radoslav Gaidarski said.

Gaidarski attended on November 20 the opening of a renovated block of St Ekaterina hospital in Sofia, Focus news agency reported.

Nearly 40 million leva were allocated for such expenditure until present but the funds were not used properly, said Gaidarski.

Some other ongoing renovation works included the repair of some facilities of Aleksandrovska hospital. Two renovated wings had to start functioning on November 20 but the works lasted longer than initially planned, said Gaidarski.
