Police in Sofia busted an illegal greenhouse for high quality cannabis in the villa zone of the Pancharevo residential district.

During the house search, officers found four rooms with a total area of 30 sq m, where the cannabis was planted, an Interior Ministry press release said.

The plants were grown under a special technology, involving quartz lamps, foil reflectors, ventilation and moisture systems.

Police also found eight packages of 150gr of dry cannabis and two other packages with less quantity of the drug, the press release said. Two pistols, cartridges and 52 cards for ATM machine embezzlement were among the seized objects.

The house is in possession of two brothers, aged 49 and 54. The elder brother had previous criminal record.

Police arrested the house owners as well as the wife of the elder brother.
