HEROIN WORTH 10 MILLION LEVA SEIZED IN BULGARIA

Customs agents at Lesovo checkpoint seized 127 packages of heroin.

The total amount of the narcotic substance is 106.6 kg and according to estimates it costs more than 10 million leva.

Agents found the heroin in a truck coming from Turkey. A police dog was used during the search and it helped agents find the drug in the truck’s tires.

A Bulgarian, traveling illegally was detained. The man had 6200 euro cash.

Since the beginning of the year, this is the second biggest heroin shipment seized in Bulgaria. On March 11, Kalotina customs agents found 158 packages containing 163.402 kg of heroin.
