Help an animal, save a life

The organisation Intimate With Nature Society (IWNS) has launched a campaign to support homeless animals. The campaign takes place every weekend from 10am to noon and from 4pm to 7pm at the main entrance of Yuzhen Park (South park) from Vitosha Boulevard.

Everyone is invited to support the homeless animals and will be encouraged to show greater responsibility towards their pets. Volunteers, bedecked in cat and dog costumes, will give balloons to children and advise people on how to care better for their pets, whether  it's a dog, cat, turtle, bird or even a green iguana.

The campaign I Help The Animals is also collecting donations for animals who need medical care. Everyone who donates one, two or five leva will receive a sticker from the campaign as well as a balloon and other gifts. People will also be encouraged to adopt homeless animals, which are under the care of vets, on a temporary basis until they recuperate and find a new home.

I Help The Animals will also collect signatures in support of a plan to create new laws for taking care of pets. The first two days of the campaign were September 6 and 7.
