Chairman of the State Agency on Tourism Mario Al-Djebouri carried out various work meetings during the international tourism fair ITB Berlin.
Al-Djebouri met the head of the German parliamentary committee on tourism Ernst Hinsken. Bulgaria would ask for Germany's support for Sofia's Winter Olympics host application, Focus news agency reported.
Additional issues discussed included an increase in the number of regular and low cost flights to Bulgaria, as well as Bulgarian partnership for the Stuttgart exhibition.
During a second meeting representatives of Fraport said if the company wins the concession of the Bourgas and Varna airports, it will do everything possible to ensure a good start of the summer season in Bulgaria.
Fraport is appealing the selection of Copenhagen Airports as the concession winner, together with another tender participant, Vinci.
Al-Djebouri also discussed Bulgaria's coastal construction problems, which might lead to a decrease in the number of German tourists visiting the country's summer resorts.
Later today Al-Djeboury will meet the secretary-general of the World Tourism Organisation Francesco Frangialli.
