World-famous Bosnian composer and musician Goran Bregovic returned to the stage safe and sound after fracturing a vertebra in mid-June 2008.
The musician then fell from a height of four meters from a cherry tree in his yard in Belgrade and was hospitalised. His condition was stable, without neurological complications.
A month after the accident, a message in Bregovic’s website reads: “For those who heard about Goran Bregovic`s accident and worried… Please DON'T WORRY. Goran’s legendary good luck has protected him again … He has also solemnly promised to give up climbing cherry trees.”
Still, Bregovic had to cancel nine concerts scheduled between June 20 and July 7 only to return loudly on stage of Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall in New York on July 8 and 9.
Bregovic now heads to Germany, France and Italy to complete his July concert date lists, as promised. The closest Bregovic will come to Bulgaria is in Greece and Turkey in August 2008. For the exact dates and places, visit Bregovic’s official website. goranbregovic.co.yu
