The construction of a golf complex in the Pomorie municipality was going to begin the earliest in April 2007, representatives of the company responsible for the project Kabland, said.

InvestBulgaria Agency granted Kabland on October 31 a first class investor certificate for the construction of Kabland Golf Complex, mediapool.bg reported.

Investment in the project is expected to reach 194 million euro. All documents needed for the execution of the project were going to be obtained by the spring of 2007.

The golf complex will be located nearly 12km away from the Black Sea coast. It would cover an area of 1.9 million sq m, Pomorie mayor Petar Zlatanov said.

Pomorie municipality had in mind two other terrains that could be used for the setting up of similar complexes, Zlatanov said.

The first construction phase would involve the creation of technical and underground infrastructure, mediapool.bg reported. Initial investment would reach 60 million euro, mediapool.bg reported.

The golf course itself would be constructed only after the completion of the first phase. Kabland Golf Complex would also have tennis courts and fitness clubs. The project also envisions the construction of a hotel, villas and of apartment buildings to be offered for sale.
