Former Black Sabbath and Deep Purple lead vocalist Glenn Hughes and the Bulgarian bands B.T.R and Signal will stage a mutual concert in Sofia on September 28 2007.
The event would be held in front of the National Palace of Culture and the entrance would be free, avtora.com reported.
The concert would commemorate the 15th anniversary of local daily newspaper Standart.
Signal would warm up the audience at 5pm. Hughes and B.T.R. would follow, performing together hits of Deep Purple’s golden era, such as Mistreated, Burn, Might Just Take Your Life and Keep On Moving.
Hughes would be special guest at the official celebration of the anniversary, at which he will perform the song Ne Ste Sami (You Are Not Alone), dedicated to the six Bulgarian medics, who were imprisoned in Libya on charges of deliberate HIV infection.
It would be Hughes’s third visit to Bulgaria in 2007, avtora.com said. He performed two concerts in the coastal town of Kavarna.
