GERMANY TO GRANT FELLOWSHIPS FOR BULGARIAN EXPERTS

The Robert Bosch Foundation would grant full fellowships to a 1-year training in German state institutions for Bulgarian public sector experts, Dnevnik daily reported.

The programme's aim was to achieve cooperation between administrations of the EU new and old member states. The course would take place from September 2008 to May 2009.

Employees in public administration, in state companies and specialists from state management and development institutions and organisations could take part in the course, Dnevnik daily said.

The foundation would grant 25 fellowships of 1300 euro monthly.

Specialists from Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia could take part in the competition, with the programme being opened for the first time to young Bulgarian and Romanian specialists.

During their stay in Germany the participants would be trained at at least two different public institutions. Detailed information on the requirements and the documents needed could be found at the foundation's website www.goerdeler-kolleg.de.

Robert Bosch was one of Germany's biggest foundations. For the 1964-2006 period it donated about 790 million euro to science, health care, culture and international cooperation.
