German companies can offer Bulgaria know-how in airport organisation and road and railroad construction.
Federal minister of transport, building and urban affairs Wolfgang Tiefensee met on December 10 his Bulgarian counterpart Petar Moutafchiev.
Business ties between Bulgaria and Germany have traditionally been good, Tiefensee said. Bulgaria’s EU entry was a positive event and Tiefensee said he was happy it was happening under Germany’s EU presidency.
Tiefensee presented to Moutafchiev Germany’s priorities in the fields of transport and infrastructure, Bulgarian National Radio reported.
Passenger and cargo transport harmonisation, better organisation of public transport, increased security and technology development all featured among the goals.
Germany was working on a new satellite navigation system, in which Bulgaria was to be a partner, Tiefensee said. The country could also co-operate in projects related to bio-diesel and synthetic fuels, said he.
