Bulgarian Health Minister Radoslav Gaidarski will meet his German counterpart Ulla Schmidt, who is on a work visit to Bulgaria.
The two will discuss Bulgaria's European Union membership and opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the sphere of healthcare, Focus News agency reported.
The ministers will focus on healthcare reforms and funding of the sector, as well as on the mechanisms that will guarantee stability of public healthcare funds.
Another topic of discussion will be the re-structuring and privatisaton of public and municipal hospitals.
During their meeting, the ministers will also discuss the opportunities for information exchange concerning European integration.
Subject of future cooperation will be the professional qualification of medical specialists and cooperation between the Health Ministry, professional organisations and medical universities.
