Roland Druckmaschinen, the biggest international manufacturer of offset printing machines was researching investment opportunities in Bulgaria.
Company representatives met Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev on October 27 to discuss business co-operation, Bulgarian National Radio reported.
The company prioritised the Bulgarian market and was considering options for expanding its business activities, Roland Druckmaschinen representatives said.
Stanishev said that Bulgaria was attracting increasing amounts of direct foreign investment. This proved that international companies trusted the local market and the ability of Bulgarian companies to meet European standards.
In the past two months Stanishev attended the opening of two high-technology plants of Siemens and Melexis Microelectronic Systems.
Other major international initiatives launched recently in Bulgaria included the industrial projects of Cumerio copper extraction company and Solvay Sodi, a Council of Ministers press release said.
