US president George Bush will make an official visit to Bulgaria on June 10 and 11.
Bulgarian President Georgi Purvanov invited his American counterpart, the Presidency press office said.
Bush will come to Bulgaria several months before US soldiers arrive to the country, where they will undergo military training in local facilities.
US ambassador to Bulgaria John Beyrle already announced the possible topics of discussion during the presidential visit. Kosovo's status, relations with Russia and the diversification of energy supplies to the region and the EU feature among these.
The visit will be the second one that an American head of state makes to Bulgaria. Bill Clinton came to the country in 1999.
