FURTHER CHANGES IN BULGARIA’S CABINET TO BE EXPECTED- MRF LEADER
10:12 Mon 04 Jun 2007

More changes in the Cabinet can be expected, Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) leader Ahmed Dogan said.

MRF is the only member of the ruling coalition that has so far refrained from showing readiness to dismiss any of its ministers in the Cabinet, mediapool.bg said.

On June 2 2007 Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev said that he accepted the resigns of two ministers, members of Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and National Movement Simeon II (NMSII). Economy and Energy Minister Roumen Ovcharov from BSP and Justice Minister Georgi Petkanov from NMSII are the Cabinet members to leave office.

Dogan said that the coalition council will meet soon to discuss the structural changes needed. The situation would become clear in 10 to 15 days, he said.

The coalition was analysing objectively the situation and the new policy needed. Will for changes existed, Dogan said.
