The police operation is still ongoing. Officers are doing home searches to find enough evidence for the work of the group.

Police investigated the work of the group nearly one year. The actual operation began on April 3 through the detention of Zheliazkov.

During the searches officers found weapons and more than 10kg of narcotic substances among which amphetamines, heroin and marijuana. The value of the drugs exceeds 800 000 leva.

Bourgas prosecutor Yordan Ivanov said that Zheliazkov and his accomplices were among the highest level criminals ever detained.

According to Focus news agency the revenue from the weekly sales of the organised group totalled 50 000 leva. Some of the money was found in the houses of the detained men during the police searches.
