The framework of the final European Commission report on Bulgaria's readiness to join the union was finalised, Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin said.
On September 26 the EC would present its last evaluation and would give its entry date recommendation for Bulgaria.
In one week Bulgaria would present to Brussels the final developments that have occurred in the country. The EC report was going to be finalised by September 15, Kalfin said.
The Cabinet was doing everything possible to assure the UK it was not going to suffer from the migration of Bulgarian workers, once the country became EU member, Kalfin said. Bulgarian National Radio quoted Kalfin as saying the main concern for Bulgaria was that many educated people would travel abroad.
Kalfin's comments came in response to claims in British media that local workers were going to lose their jobs because of migration from Bulgaria and Romania and that the inflow of workers was going to lead to social problems.
