The fourth international economy forum Maritsa, organised by the Bulgarian Economic Forum, opened on April 22 in Plovdiv.
The meeting will continue for two days. Plovdiv mayor Slavcho Atanassov and Plovdiv Regional Governor Todor Petkov officially opened the event, with ministers, MPs, businessmen and media also in attendance.
Main topics to be discussed during the forum are transport and logistics infrastructure, real estate market development, rural development programmes, new tourism projects, environmental investments, energetics, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, the labour market, financial sector role in the successful adoption of the European Union funds, and local governance and regional development.
Bulgarian Industrial Association deputy chairperson Dikar Tebekyan is one of the lectors during the forum. He will speak about the shortage of a qualified labour force, about professional orientation and about career development of the young people.
